Confirmation information 2020
Note: Dear Parishioners, following the directives from the Archdiocese of Sydney for all churches and liturgies we would like to inform you that from 1st June 2020 the celebration of Confirmation is indefinitely postponed until further notice, except at risk of death or the baptism of an adult.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred in our parish on Saturday 14th November 2020 by Bishop Terence Brady.
If your child is in year 6 or above, is a Baptised Catholic and has made their First Holy Communion, then the Sacrament of Confirmation is a part of that spiritual journey that helps your child to grow in the Catholic faith and to participate in the church community. If your child is eligible and wishes to prepare for this Sacrament this year, it is essential that you attend a PARENT INFORMATION EVENING ON THURSDAY 10th SEPTEMBER IN THE HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC CHURCH NORTH RYDE.
CONFIRMATION DATES 2020
Parent Information Meeting:
Thursday evening, 10th September
Enrolment Weekend:
Sat 12th Sept or Sun 13th Sept (at any Mass). Earlier due to school holidays & October long weekend
Sunday Group Sessions:
18th & 25th October 1st & 8th November 4pm. Followed by 5pm Mass
ConfirKidz Enrichment Day: TBA
NOTE:
ATTENDANCE AT MASS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR CHILD’S PREPARATION.
Confirmation Practice night:
Thursday 12th November
CONFIRMATION:
Saturday 14th November
